For the past 13 years I have worked as a Cost Analyst on upstream and downstream oil and gas projects, and on US military contracts in the Middle East and in the US. In those roles I was responsible for building employee resourcing schedules, identifying and forecasting cost, analyzing actual cost, researching variances in planned versus actual cost, and presenting monthly updates to senior management. I have always had an interest in real estate, and in 2016 I began purchasing single family homes. Some we flipped for a profit and others we kept as rentals for monthly cash flow.
While looking for single family houses I came across a multi-family deal. It was then that I saw the increased potential in multi-family and the opportunity to quickly multiply my investment and allow me to create a business to lead investors to financial independence. In October of 2018 we decided to make the switch from single family homes to multi family, and a few months later we created Maximus-REI.

My work career has been mostly in Management – Organizing and directing people towards a common goal. And the last 20 years has been in personal business ownership.
Six years ago, I began purchasing single family homes, some I kept for rentals, and others were flipped for a quick profit. The experience I gained doing single family enabled me to partner and move into multi-family investments and ownership.
Because multi-family is more complex than single family, we engaged a company – RE Mentors for additional training and an individual mentor for advice and counsel. Along the way we added several Commercial Brokers, Real Estate Agents, Private and Hard Money Lenders, Loan Brokers, Funding Partners and Property Management Professionals just to name a few. Each serves as a member of our team and brings their own unique skills and expertise to the group.
We have a common goal of acquiring and managing multi-family apartment complexes that give excellent returns on investments secured by real estate.
LYNDA COBB

About 10 years ago I retired after a 20-year career as a High School Teacher at the local ISD, and began teaching part time at a small private school. I also work part time at Maximus REI finding properties, contacting Commercial Brokers and building leads with Realtors, Private Money Lenders and other Real-estate Investors.
My main focus is to find leads to give to Mickey and Kit for their review. At Maximus-REI we are primarily interested in Multi-Family units from 25 to 500 doors. Because our business is located in the Houston Texas area, we love buying properties in our own back yard, but we will buy most anywhere in the US if the price is right, and the property is a good fit.
We started purchasing single family homes about 5 years ago, but transitioned to multi-family about 2 years ago. We still occasionally purchase single family homes, duplexes, smaller apartment complexes, townhomes, etc., but our primary focus is multi-family.

I work at the local ISD as a School Teacher and work part time at Maximus-REI during the school year, and full time during the summer. I also spend my time at Maximus REI finding properties, contacting Commercial Brokers and building leads with Realtors, Private Money Lenders and other Real-estate Investors, and I help Lynda Cobb follow up on her leads as well as developing my own.

We have extensive in depth knowledge about what we do, but no one knows everything. We have surrounded ourselves with a team of experts: Mentors, Attorneys, Commercial Brokers, Real Estate Agents, Equity Investors and Mortgage Brokers, Bankers, Asset Managers, Networking Friends, etc.
